There are plenty of scholarships available to international students who wish to study in Canada, many of which are full funded or offer partial funding with no fees attached.

This article lists facts about finding full funded Canada scholarships, including what they look like, how you can find them and how to apply for them!

How to Find Full Funded Canada Scholarships for International Students

From undergraduate and master’s degree opportunities to PhD grants, scholarships, fellowships, and bursaries, there are many options open to international students who wish to study in Canada.

At the same time, an average of 25% of such students do not receive any financial support at all, so scholarship funding is more important than ever before. Finding full-funded Canada scholarships can be challenging; however, we have simplified it.

Canada Scholarship Programs

The first program on our list of partial scholarships is called ERASMUS+. This program was created by The European Union and offers funding for students who want to study in another country.

While most of these awards are reserved for undergraduate students, master’s and Ph.D. recipients can apply as well.

University lecturers may also apply if they have been teaching in a country outside of their home country (typically a member of The European Union) or Canada.

A limited number of awards will be granted to individuals pursuing short-term training programs lasting between three months and one year.

These types of programs usually take place at research institutions, universities or vocational schools.

If you receive an award through ERASMUS+, you will not only be fully funded during your studies but you will also receive a stipend to cover living expenses while abroad.

You will not need to pay tuition fees either because all costs associated with your studies will be covered by your scholarship!

Some Useful Tips on Applying for a Scholarship in Canada

If you’re from overseas, you may have noticed that scholarships are hard to come by.

That’s because many Canadian scholarships are partial-funded scholarships, which means there is a set funding limit that can be awarded.

For example, if an international student wins a $1,000 scholarship award, that means only $1,000 can be awarded out of a total fund pool of $10,000.

The remaining $9,000 will go towards students who are citizens or permanent residents of Canada.

So how do you find these full-funded scholarships?

Here are some tips It doesn’t hurt to apply: While it might seem obvious, it bears repeating: all you need to win a scholarship is to apply! In fact, it pays not just to apply for scholarships in your home country but also in other countries where you want to study.

Why? Because different countries often have different rules and criteria when it comes to awarding scholarships.

For example, while most U.S.-based awards are restricted to American citizens, applicants from other countries may still be eligible—it never hurts to check!

Be strategic about applying: You don’t need to submit applications for every single scholarship out there—in fact, you shouldn’t.
