Ghanaian rapper, Medikal, recently hosted a concert at the O2 Indigo in London, where he surprised fans by bringing his ex-girlfriend, Sister Derby, on stage for a performance.

This move sparked controversy, especially as Medikal was reportedly facing marital issues at the time.

Despite the backlash, Medikal has clarified that all the Ghanaian artistes who performed at his concert did not have their flight tickets and accommodation covered by him. The likes of Shatta Wale, Sarkodie, Efya, and Article Wan paid for their own expenses to show support for Medikal’s big event.

In an interview with UTV, Medikal emphasized that the artistes flew to London out of love and support for him, not because he footed the bill for their travel and accommodation. He also defended his decision to perform with Sister Derby, stating that it was simply for entertainment purposes and to give fans a live experience of their collaboration.

Medikal made it clear that he was not trying to disrespect anyone, including his wife, Fella Makafui. He maintained that the performance was all in good fun and aimed at providing an unforgettable experience for his fans. Ultimately, Medikal reiterated that the concert was a celebration of music and entertainment, without any underlying motives.
